Low Costs – High Quality:
Veneer Glue Jointing gets You started

Today, veneer splicing can be done in two ways: by means of a zig-zag shaped glue thread or, as the Swiss company Fisher+Rückle recommends, by veneer glue jointing.

Veneer stitching with glue thread (hot-melt adhesive) does not fully close the joints but keeps veneer strips together merely by a thread. Veneer shrinking and/or the influence of heat during the pressing process causes the joint to open up again. As lacquer gathers in the open joint during glossing, the joints become visible in the shape of lines that show throughout the veneer layon. Time-consuming sanding, joint filling and a second lacquering run raise production costs. Simultaneously, the risk of glue thread telegraphing, only visible after months in most cases, rises.

Vorlege- und OptimierungsstationNot so in glue jointing. Glue joints are tightly closed along their complete length, temperature-resistant and stronger than the veneer itself. Less sanding is required and the fully closed joint prevents lacquer from entering. Time-consuming re-processing, the risk of telegraphing and the danger of moisture penetration causing discolouring are completely eliminated.

Dropping production costs and boosting enduring quality of your veneered surfaces starts with the perfect glue joint.

OMNIMASTER – the ideal veneer glue splicer for the cost-sensitive and quality-conscious craftsman

Vorlege- und OptimierungsstationOMNIMASTER is operable in no time. Smallest order quantities can be efficiently spliced owing to minimum glue pot filling rates and shortest warm-up phases. OMNIMASTER pre-glues veneer strips and subsequently splices them tightly in one pass. Infeed rolls guide the veneer strips along the glue application discs, thus ensuring gapless gluing. Stainless-steel plate chains then drag the pre-glued veneer strips through upper and lower heating bars. Both the heat exposure and the high lateral chain pressure cause the glue to react immediately. The powerful hydraulic direct drive enables the splicing of veneer thicknesses of up to 1.5 mm (optionally up to 3 mm). Finally, glue pot cleaning is only a matter of minutes.
